ValuDomain Browser Extension

One-click capture of domain auctions into your ValuDomain watchlist. Works on GoDaddy Auctions, NameJet, Dynadot, DropCatch, and Namecheap Marketplace.

Installation

You can install the ValuDomain extension in two ways. We recommend the Chrome Web Store for the simplest, one-click experience. The local install is available if you prefer full control or the store version is not yet live in your region.

Option A: Chrome Web Store

One-click install from the official Chrome Web Store. Updates are handled automatically by your browser.

  1. Visit the ValuDomain extension page on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click Add to Chrome (or Add to {Browser}).
  3. Confirm the permission prompt — the extension only requests the minimal permissions listed below.
  4. The ValuDomain icon will appear in your toolbar. Click it to connect your account.

How to Use

1. Sign in

After installation, click the ValuDomain icon in your toolbar. Sign in with the same account you use on valudomain.com.

2. Browse auctions

Visit any supported auction marketplace. On a domain listing page, a "Add to ValuDomain" button will appear next to the domain name or in the page toolbar. Click it to instantly add the domain to your ValuDomain watchlist.

3. Background sync

The extension automatically syncs open auction tabs in the background, so your watchlist stays up to date with current prices and end times.

Supported Marketplaces

  • GoDaddy Auctions
  • NameJet
  • Dynadot Auctions & Closeouts
  • DropCatch
  • Namecheap Marketplace
  • Sedo (partial)

Don't see your marketplace? Let us know.

Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following permissions to function correctly:

  • Active tab / Tabs — To detect which auction page you are viewing and to display the "Add to ValuDomain" button.
  • Storage — To securely store your authentication token locally so you stay signed in between browser sessions.
  • Web navigation — To detect page navigation on auction sites and inject the capture button dynamically.
  • Alarms — To schedule periodic background sync of your open auction tabs.

We do not access, collect, or transmit any data from non-auction websites.

Troubleshooting

Extension icon is grayed out or missing

Make sure you are on a supported auction marketplace page. The icon is only active on sites we support. If it still does not appear, try refreshing the page.

"Add to ValuDomain" button does not appear

Some marketplace pages load content dynamically. Wait for the page to fully load, then refresh. If the issue persists, the marketplace may have changed its layout — please report it.

Domains not syncing to my watchlist

Ensure you are signed in with the same account on both the extension and valudomain.com. Check that your browser is not blocking third-party cookies for valudomain.com.

Background sync seems slow

The extension syncs every few minutes to respect API rate limits. You can manually refresh by clicking the extension icon and selecting Sync Now.

Privacy & Security

The ValuDomain Browser Extension is designed with privacy in mind:

  • Local-only storage. Your authentication token is stored in your browser's local extension storage — never in a remote server or cloud.
  • Limited scope. The extension only activates on supported auction marketplace domains. It cannot read data from banking, email, social media, or any other sites.
  • No tracking. We do not include analytics, ad trackers, or third-party scripts.
  • Secure communication. All data exchanged with valudomain.com uses HTTPS with TLS encryption.

For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Uninstall

If you installed from the Chrome Web Store: Right-click the ValuDomain icon in your toolbar and select Remove from Chrome (or visit chrome://extensions, find ValuDomain Watchlist, and click Remove).

If you installed locally (Developer mode): Go to chrome://extensions, find ValuDomain Watchlist, and click Remove.

All locally stored data is deleted automatically. Your ValuDomain account and watchlist data on our servers remain unaffected.
